Lesson 7 : Document Everything
In the professional world nearly everything runs off of documentation, including, but not limited to, contracts, paperwork, emails. Anything which has a chance to resurface and potentially help or hurt you should be documented, stored, copied, and backed up. Humans tend to catch amnesia and stories may change, avoid receiving the short end of this stick. Retaining valid documentation is a small habit that will prevent bigger problems.
- Organize your computer to easily drop files and screenshots into categorized folder.
- When dealing with untrustworthy individuals, never rely on their word. Ask for it in writing or electronically.
